There's a boy in my belly!

We had our ultrasound on Valentines Day and I just now figured out that I can take the pictures to Walgreens and have them put them on a CD! It makes it quite a bit easier than anything else I could come up with :)

I didn't realize that once we found out whether it was a boy or a girl how different I would feel... it's not just a "something" in there anymore, there's a real baby boy! The first few months I would walk around the house saying "There's a baby in my belly!" (it only annoyed Nathan a tiny bit, haha) but now I'm saying "There's a boy in my belly!" It keeps things interesting around the house.
Today I was doing the hair of the little girl I babysit and as she turned her head to the side (while I was putting it in a ponytail... sheesh) I thought how glad I was that I only have to worry about my own hair for now (at least until/if baby #2 in a few years is a girl, then I'm in trouble.).

Here we go!

I've been meaning to do this for awhile now... we live so far away from everyone and since this is such a special time in our lives we want our family and friends to be part of it. So, we'll try to keep up and take pictures of all the fun stuff that we're doing (and how much I'm growing!).
This first post will be quite long since I've backlogged a few "baby bump" pictures (although, to be honest, the first bunch looks exactly the same!) but I figure you'll want to see how I've progressed (AKA expanded).

Here I am at week 14 (January 12)
Week 15 (January 19)
Week 16 (January 27)

Week 17 (February 3)

Week 18 (February 9)

And while I'm at it, here are the pictures of our crib (thanks to my parents), rocker+ottoman (thanks to Nathans parents), and dresser (... which we found at a consignment shop :)).

The room is nowhere near done (obviously) but it's coming along. At least the big items are in! Soon I'll be painting (don't worry- No VOC paint is in my future) and moving things around to their "permanent" locations.
Our next project is getting the bathroom to look nice- including installing the vanity that's currently sitting next to the crib (if you've seen our bathroom, you know there's no extra room in there for... well, anything, until we clear it out.).
Hopefully I'll remember to post before and after pictures of that too!
