Mason’s first Thanksgiving

While Mason didn’t get to eat any turkey (or noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, pumpkin pie, or chocolate cream pie- boy, I made a lot of food), he got to try eating cereal off a spoon for the first second time (the first was before we cut a hole in one of his bottles for nighttime cereal feedings). I’d like to say he was a champ, but he could have cared less and kept giving us the ‘yucky’ face. Oh well, we’ll try again later. If he’s like his dad all we have to do is put some soda in there and he’ll be happy as a lark.

No, that’s not cherry pop. Poor kid got his 4 month shots and had a fever, so he was lucky enough to get Tylenol. He likes to spit it out.

Here’s the start of our Thanksgiving pictures. Yep, they’re both passed out. Don’t worry, I was taking care of everything in the kitchen.

We set Mason on the table in his Bumbo for dinner. He’s pretty content in it, and doesn’t mind sitting on the table (Don’t worry, that sucker is tip-over proof, I swear.)

He loves playing with his toys! Of course, he kept shoving the links off, then expecting me to pick them up (I’m nice, I did) and then shoving them off again. The little booger.

Mason is getting better at sitting and will be doing it on his own soon! He mastered rolling from his belly to his back weeks ago, but this week he rolled back to front! It was pretty great

Mason is 16 weeks old (yesterday)

And boy has he been busy. Wait, that’s me.

We went to the “pumpkin pile” at Trax Farms with Mason’s baby girlfriend Mia last Sunday. It’s so nice to go out with our new(ish) friends, since we have so much in common! Of course, our little ones were passed out the whole time, at least right until we were getting ready to leave. I swear they’re so much alike they’re meant for each other! I didn’t take any pictures (oops) since the kiddos were passed out the whole time.

Mason’s 3 month pictures came in! Woohoo! I loaded them onto the computer (only took me a week) and here they are:

You’ll notice that he’s in camo in all but one picture. Next time I pick the first outfit.

On another note, our good friends Jill and Nate are getting married today! Wish we could be there and congrats!

Mason’s 15th week

My parents are coming on Thursday! They haven’t seen Mason since he was 1 week old, and boy has he grown. Here are some pictures of the last week (or so).

Mason and Daddy: I picked this outfit (Mason’s, not Nathan’s) out long before Mason was born- the hat, pants, and onesie match! Plus there’s a blanket. And a bib. That’s right, he has them all. Spoiled? Nah.

Love this kid and his double chin.

Mason likes to lay on his back, but roll him over and he only lasts a few minutes! He’s working on rolling from his back to his belly, though. He’s getting soclose.

I took the picture above and didn’t want to show Nathan, so he pouted. He’s good at that

He was so busy talking to me that he didn’t realize I had the camera. Also, I guess the dogs might want their tennis ball from under the couch. It’ll probably be there next Christmas. Cool, now we don’t have to buy them anything.

Whaaaa?!

 

We’ve started a bedtime routine- bath time, then story time in his room, we feed him and he drifts off to sleep (at which time we plop him in his crib and do a happy dance since our arms are now free). He might know about the party because he’s been waking up at 2am and wakes up every time he gets put back down in his crib. The little booger.

Nathan gave Mason his bath last night- all by himself for the first time! I always give the bath, and Nathan takes him away and dresses him, but we switched roles last night. It was funny seeing Nathan squish into the tub, along with the baby tub Thought we’d have to pry him outta there cause he sat on his leg funny! So proud that Mason made it out just fine and smelly mighty clean! Now daddy can give bath time more often! (Nathan, if you’re reading this, muahahaha.)

That’s all we’ve got this week. I’ll try to take pictures of Mason with his Gammy and Poppy when they visit! We’re so excited!

13 weeks

Oops, forgot about the ol’ blog. Unfortunately I don’t know where my camera is, so no pictures! At least I posted though, right?

Mason got his 3 month pictures taken yesterday, so when we get them I’ll post them. He’s super cute in them (I’m not biased or anything, I tell ya.) and we’re looking forward to getting his Christmas pictures taken in a few weeks. My parents already sent a cute Christmas outfit for him, so we’ll see if that gets put on our Christmas cards Or if we even get him in for pictures… hey, we’re lazy, people. I’m just glad we got pictures of him already!
